If we talk about ecological fabrics many people think of organic cotton and hemp.
In Wabi Sabi EcoFashionConcept when we started to show clients silk shirts, dresses made from bamboo, wool scarves and cashmere sweaters, cotton and hemp are rapidly forgotten.
The first question we need to ask ourselves is what makes a fabric organic?
At Wabi Sabi Ecofashionconcept organic clothing is that which is made naturally without harmful chemicals and that respects:
the health of consumers
To produce organic clothing we use fabrics that do not harm your health or the environment. The options are by no means limited.
Some of Wabi Sabi´s favorite fabrics are:
Natural silk: this fabric is organic since it is made by silkworms.
Bamboo: a material that grows quickly and does not require pesticides. Bamboo fabric is soft and cool.
Cashmere: this fabric comes from high mountain goats. It is one of the most environmentally friendly and stylish.
Lyocell / Modal: is obtained from wood pulp, is recyclable and biodegradable. The feel is similar to bamboo.
Some more than we can use:
Organic cotton: made in fields free of pesticides and chemicals.
Jute: this fabric is biodegradable and has lots of character.
Hemp: the advantage of this material is that it is very stable and durable.
Soy: this item is being used increasingly as it is quick and easy to grow.
Pineapple: fabrics made from this fruit improve skin condition and prevent allergic reactions.
Linen: like the bamboo plant it grows quickly and does not require pesticides that pollute the environment.
We always advise that consumers read labels. That way you can learn about the fabrics used and check if you favorite products have some of the green certification.
With so many ecologically friendly choices dressing in a stylish and healthy is easier than ever
